Orthotic Shoes for Bunion

By Sole Reaper at 08/19/08 07:06

One of the first thing I look at a girl is her feet. Good feet are good points for me. Dirty toe nails, ugly foot skin are a no no. I am easily turned off by ugly feet.

But there is one thing that I will never want to see in a girl's feet. It's bunions! Just thinking of it makes me vomit. I don't know how it feels to have a bunion, but it looks really painful, and looks very ugly too!

One time I was watching a premiere night of a movie and then the star that most teens would scream for arrived. The people are shouting praises at her, since I am not her fan, I tried to examine her overall looks. From the head to the knees, she's indeed gorgeous. But when I stumbled a sight on her feet, ohhh God! I saw her ugly bunions.

A bunion is a condition where your tissues around the metatarsal joint are enlarge. It can also be cause by a bone enlargement at the base of the big toe. Bunions are not deadly, but they can somehow limit your ability to walk if it is left untreated. Not to mention that you will have an ugly looking ogre-like toes.

But do not worry because if ever you have a bunion, you can have them remove now, or at least do a painless treatment. The surgery includes repositioning of the sesamoid bones that are are affected. It looks pretty scary watching some surgery videos on YouTube so I wouldn't post them here, but you can check on if you like.

Another treatment for bunions is using the traditional way, by means of constantly changing footwear. You need shoes that promotes feet comfort, with bunion cushions or bunion splints. There are also specially made shoes that has a small pocket where you can put ice while you are walking because ice medication is said to help in bunion treatments.

Also try to find shoes that has toe separator or toe spacer or foot gloves, because that too can help you with your bunion problem.
