In recent months, I found myself wearing leather shoes more often. This is actually a recent development for in the past 2 or 3 years, I don't think I wore any kind of shoe that much. It used to be always slippers for me. The funny thing about it is that when I started college, I had been accustomed to wearing leather shoes, but 2 to 3 hours of travel time to and from the university every day put its toll on my aching feet, so I decided to let them feel the fresh air and go for slippers.
But since I already attend more and more job interviews and project presentations this year, there is already the need to wear a pair of leather shoes again--much to my regret. Wearing leather shoes isn't much of a problem, but wearing that particular pair of leather shoes is. It's not tight in the feet. It's just that I feel it's too long and pointed for my own taste. I don't even remember why I chose this pair. Maybe it was the affordable tag price back then.
In the past, my father would always buy me one of those Caterpillar boots, which I now realize to be weird because Caterpillar is a manufacturer of construction equipment, and that includes the boots fit for construction workers. Until this very day, I do not know why he would buy a little kid (back then) a pair of shoes when these shoes had steel toes in them. I enjoyed wearing them, nonetheless. I never noticed the difference.
What I really want to have now, however, is to have a pair of suede leather shoes from Merrell. For some reason, I have already associated the brand with suede. I don't even know if they really make shoes out of genuine suede in the first place. Suede feels great on the skin because of its smooth surface, not to mention that suede shoes look great, in my opinion, as well.
I would love to have a pair of Merrell shoes so much that I think I'll get a pair for myself this coming Christmas. That would make a perfect reward for myself after an entire year of work and much effort--but, golly, I think it would cost me an arm and a leg just to avail a pair. It's so expensive!
