The Little Shoe Boutique Interview

By Interviewer at 07/23/09 16:45

Name of your website?

The Little Shoe Boutique

Your name?

Michelle

Your Location (city, etc)

Rochester

Please give us a short summary of your website?

The Little Shoe Boutique is where you will find one of the largest selection of PRIMIGI children shoes. Whether you are looking for first walkers, sport shoes, dressy or casual shoes you will find it here. Be sure to check out our large selection of Mary Janes and Loafers. The Little Shoe boutique is where quality and fashion meet.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

As a mother of two amazing children, I have always had a passion for children’s shoes. For years I have searched for good quality shoes for my children and found that there just isn't anything out there, at least with a good selection for boys and girsl. Having a passion for Italian shoes myself, because of the comfort, workmanship, and of course the fashion, I wondered why it was so difficult to find these for my children. As a mother and also a Registered Nurse, I truly believe it is so important for little growing feet to be in nothing less than the comfort of fine quality shoes with the softest leather, and of course not to mention with stylish selections! One summer I went back to Italy for vacation with my entire family and this is where I discovered what I have been searching for. All of the children wore the most adorable shoes that were made with the finest materials, excellent durability and with the comfort that active growing children need through all of their different stages of growth. I couldn’t bring enough home… I was inspired to bring many home and share them with all of you… so I did. I hope you enjoy them as much as my family does.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This is my first web site and I am very excited to make these adorable shoes available to the world.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Our website is for little children shoes. The name suits well the product we sell.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

It targets a customer’s searching for quality European children shoes.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Keep it a grow the business.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

We have balanced all aspects to be successful.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Very little at this time.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Very likley.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

This site was well planned with minimal to no unexpected cost to date.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Gaining visibility.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Word of mouth and other links into my website.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

None so far.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have been running the site for several months and am looking to gain popularity.

What is your website address?

The Little Shoe Boutique
