Just a few minutes ago, the 44th President of the United States of America has officially been inaugurated as the new president of the most powerful country in the whole wide world. President Barack Obama is making history for being the first Afro-American to be seated as president of the US.
I'm currently watching the live coverage of the inauguration via Hulu.com and I'm quite amazed at how large the crowd is and the number of powerful people . Reports said that an estimated 2 million people gathered for this historical event, the transfer of power in a peaceful manner from one president to another.
With the live coverage from Fox news, I can see a crowd of thousands of people, all different colors and heights, wear smile and bring with them the hope that the new president will bring a better life in them. It's not good to say that these people are expecting Obama is the answer to a better life, but that is most certainly the easiest way to put it.
A lot of people came in their finest clothes and footwear braving the cold weather of the capital. I've seen some wearing clothes that are patterned after the American flag, and wearing some American flag painted shoes as well, like this one though not exactly the same.
