When I met my girlfriend, one thing I noticed immediately are her shoes. She's not wearing the shoes you will expect for a girl, like those sandals with girl designs or lace and straps. Instead, she's wearing a rugged, brown cowboy boots.
I find that moment kinda weird but 'Ookkaayyy'. I liked her because of how she talked, her wit, and her being a street-smart kid. Nowadays you don't choose a girl with an expensive lifestyle, the economy is down, boy.
Yesterday I met her parents in their house like 300km from my house. It was a long travel. She was wearing a sporty sneakers this time. Now I'm beginning to think, "Did I take a manly girl as my partner?". Well, that's what it looks like. She's sporty, she's OK with extreme activities. Much to my liking as I too as well is a sporty lad.
She then gave me a tour to their 1911-built house, which is an inherited property from her great grandfather. Beside their main door at the front is a shoe rack for all who enters the house. The first 2 upper division are full of fabricated sandals for home use only.
Her room is a different story. It does not have a show rack, instead, the shoes has a big cabinet of its own. She needs a cabinet to stock all her old shoes. I learned she's fond of using really girly shoes when she was young. I saw Hello Kitty inspired shoes, sandals with huge flower accents and other.
She however became a fan of safety, sporty and adventure shoes and sandals when she entered college. She joined the mountaineering club and joined marathons and races as well. Aside from the old shoe collection, she also maintains a small cabinet for 'weird' shoes she bought from flea markets. She has sandals made of sea shell, which as obviously only for design purposes. She also has shoes made from bear skin, and some partner-less shoe. She has weird boots collection too, which explains her pair of cowboy boots when we first met.
