I accompanied my girlfriend this morning to a buy shoes for her young twin nieces. Its the twin's birthday so we have to buy something that looks grand, enough as a birthday gift.
I admit I love going to groceries and buy food related stuffs but there's no way you can have me roam inside the mall in the shoe section, especially if it's for girls. I mean, I usually order my shoes online, or have someone buy for me, or I personally visit the stores on occasional basis but I will never go to the female shoe section. Only my girlfriend has the power to command me to visit that section.
So while we're there, I noticed a big banner written "Imelda Marcos is coming, buy your shoes now!". Lol, that has got to be one of the funniest banner I've ever seen. They're using the power of Imelda's name to have people rushing to buy shoes.
So then we proceeded to the kid's shoe section. The twin are 5 years old and usually wears pink and yellow or red and green. Lol. Christmas colors. We saw one that is really cute but it wouldn't fit to the kids because there's only one size remaining.
So we roamed the shoe section of the mall again, moving from one boutique to the other, entering every store we see selling shoes. I'm tired, but she's really determined to find one. Until we came across Hush Puppies, the farthest store of the mall from the parking entrance.
At instant site, she loved the Cha-Cha and Tango shoes. The one was pink and the other was silver with green lining. The shoes were a bit expensive, each cost $34.50 but then we don't have any choice but to buy them. My girlfriend will be busy for the coming days and its the only time she can go shopping, and besides, the birthday party is already on Saturday.
I just hope the twins will love their new shoes!
