This evening before I went to my late night work, I visited a shopping mall to check on some formal shoes that I will be needing tomorrow for a special gathering that me and my friend will be attending. The dress code is just semi formal, so I planned to wear a polo, slack pants and a semi-formal some good looking shoes that will compliment my dress. Since I have already decided on what to wear, there's only one problem left, I still do not have the "semi-formal good looking shoes" I need.
I have some black shoes that I often use for gatherings, but if you must know, its more than 3 years old. The leathers of it are starting to crack down and you can literally see the age of it because of the white spots.
I'm really not the fashionista type, so I care less to what others would say about how I look. But this time I think I really need to get a new one that's why I went to the mall to shop shoes.
When I was already in the shoe section, I was like like living in the world no humans are allowed only shoes. Everywhere you look there are good looking shoes, there are different designs. That's a problem for me because I'm easily attracted to physical features of a product haha. But when I checked on them, OMG!, my wallet screamed HOLY COW! They are too expensive.
I went down to the other section and saw cheaper black soled shoes, the ones usually worn by people working in offices. They are cheaper because they are not branded, they don't even have a name on them. I wanna try how will one last, and also I want to buy a cheap one since I will not be using it often. I finally bought one and right I'm staring at it, thinking how long can an $8 shoe can last. We'll see about that in the coming weeks.
