What is the name of your Blog? Solevoice What is your name? Katie Where are you from? (include country, state and/or city) Portland, OR What is your current age or age range? 25 Please describe your blog It's all about shoes! Including fashion tips and advice, following the trends, sometimes celebrity spotting, new shoe brands, my personal favorites, and of course plenty of links and pictures. Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish? I like to inform people, provide help, and just in general I have fun with it. What blogging platform do you do and why? I use Wordpress. I've tried others and I just like Wordpress the best. What do you blog the most about? Shoes! What kind of blogs make you angry? Ones that are full of ads. Or ones that are really ugly. Oh, and ones without any kind of contact information for the author(s). Give five of your best blogging tips. 1) Keep posts short and to the point. 2) Break up longish posts with pictures and/or lists. 3) Keep the content varied and directed to a wide audience. The topic may be fairly targeted (ie, mine is just about shoes) but there are still many directions you can take it in to appeal to a diverse group of people. 4) Use plenty of humor! 5) Comment on other people's blogs. It's a fabulous way to network and therefore more links and traffic to your own blog. What are some things you would NEVER blog about? Politics. Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money? No and no but I might try to someday. How long have you been blogging? Um ... Decemeber or something? About how many hours per day do you spend blogging? Not a clue. Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily? I dunno. Do you use Digg, and why or why not? Yup. Gets me a lot of traffic. Plus, it's another fun networking thing and I get some great ideas that way. Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not? Not really. What are your top five blogging site picks and why? Just mine :) Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog? Nope. What is the url of your blog?
