In many parts of South East Asia, particularly in the Philippines, schools are about to open once again in merely a week from now. School year usualy starts in June in this Asian region.

And with just a week before classes start, parents and students are going gaga over buying school supplies, books, uniforms and shoes for the school year. Most families have already shopped for their needs a month ago but there are some who likes the atmosphere of last-minute shopping because of one reason. Mall discounts.

Last minute shoppers usually receive discounts from shopping malls. Most especially, uniforms and shoe boutiques are giving insane discounts for shoppers during this period.

The demand is high around this time for uniforms and shoes so stores are answering it with discounted sales to improve their marketing over other stores. Rival stores answer this with their own discounted sales and in the end the shoppers are showered with discounts.

The most shoe sales of course goes to school shoes and sports shoes. Everyday school shoes depends on the need of the students and the requirement of the school. Some school implements strict rules on what shoes to wear. Most of them requires black, safety shoes. But there are some, mostly universities, that do not follow any uniform. Rubber shoes, sneakers, chucks or even slip-on sandals are popular for students in these kind of schools.

But always remember that aside from the fashion quality of the shoes, you also need to consider its durability, comfort and of course the price. Keep in mind that not because the shoes is expensive makes it a good purchase. These days you need to be practical.
