This morning I went to a huge open market in the Philippines called Divisoria. It is a place where you can buy a lot of things for every specific use you can imagine. I will lose space if I am to write every product they have there.
My girlfriend knew I was going to visit Divisoria so she asked me if I could buy her a pair of slippers for home use and told me I am in charge of choosing the color and design. I agreed, but I never thought looking for a good slipper that would fit a girl's taste would be THAT hard.
I started looking for some girly looking slippers with those barbie or flowers as design. Haha, sorry, but I really don't have the eye for good feet covers specially if its for a girl.
I spotted a pink slipper with a Hello Kitty mounted on it. Though it look appealing, I though it look very much a kid's slipper. It look very funny though, with all those big hello kitty heads mounted on the top.
I moved to a more formal slipper, with leather body and rubber sole. But it looked very formal that it doesn't look like a slipper for home use. It's more like a slipper that people use for outdoor traveling.
I move from store to store, about 10 of them. But I failed to choose what is the best slipper for her. I was losing hope when I spotted a Chinese store that sells obviously Chinese slippers.
To my surprise, there are no other color than red! Seems like the Chinese people loves red pretty much. Since I am already tired looking for just a slipper, and also the slipper look fine, I bought it. The price is 185 pesos a pair. That's about $4.20 and not really a bad price.
I don't know if she will like it, but I hope she will. Or tonight I'll be dead. She has yet to see it after work. I'm praying terribly hard now.
