My mom asked me to download patterns and designs of different shoes because she just enrolled in a sitting class for home made shoes. Their main materials are old shoes, old leathers, laces and everything old that can be transformed into shoes. Perhaps its a class for mother's who doesn't have anything to do at home, and also to promote recycling.
And I was searching for designs and patterns, I stumbled upon that photo. A beautifully crafted paper shoe. It was fantastic for me. I have seen paper shoe designs but I find that particularly stunning.
Although there is no way for a person to wear that without ruining it, it is still good for displays. The whole shoe body is made of old paper materials. Maybe you can use old phone directories, old books or even magazines. You just have to innovate in the design and voila! You have an instant paper shoe.
The design look very simple, as it do not have complicated parts. Just cut a sole that resembles a shoe, make a hood, a heel guard, perhaps a stiletto heel, a few buttons and you already have a shoe!
You can also make artistic shoes out of other materials. Aside from keeping you busy out of a boring day, it can also become a good source of income if you try to sell it in art fanatics. And the fact that you are recycling can also help the environment.
Art shoes are definitely not a new product. They have been in the circle for many years. Paper shoes, wood shoes, clay shoes and I even saw a shoe before made of vegetable and fruits in a PETA poster. Just add a little of your artistic self and you can create a masterpiece to call your own.
